I hope the subject line of this blog post has grabbed your attention. :)

Today’s Tuesday post is about how to release tension and knots in your body when foam rollers just wont cut it. After RKC Vienna, I was struggling with a lot of kinks in my legs and shoulders. Considering the volume and intensity of the weekend long certification, it was of no surprise that when I returned to Pittsburgh, I was… Continue reading

Over the weekend I had the great pleasure of attending a book signing and release party for the book “Gather-The Art of Paleo Entertaining”. On Friday night I was lucky enough to meet  Bill Staley and Haley Mason, the authors of this incredible book and Pittsburgh city natives. This incredible couple took the time to compile paleo menu items that are tailored to specific dinner party themes. If you are into entertaining and… Continue reading

Sunday was a great day in the name of fitness here in the city of Pittsburgh. I had the great honor of cheering on a number of my college friends at this years marathon. A really good friend of mine from Saint Vincent College participated in the race and finished in 3 hours, and 27 minutes  and 9 seconds. Her pace for the entire race held steady at 7 minutes and 55 seconds per mile.… Continue reading

Today on primalburgher.com we will not be discussing eating smart or training hard. Today, I wanted to discuss a subject I am all to familiar with: Pittsburghese. Over the past year after having written my initial blog post about Pittsburghese, I have had a number of bloggers and even some instructor friends attempt to impress me by their use of Pittsburghese (which is odd but flattering at the same time). Now, I don’t mean… Continue reading

While I was at RKC Veinna this weekend I was routinely asked if I was going to attempt the Iron Maiden challenge. My training protocols up until the weekend were completely focussed on one goal and one goal alone: passing the RKC. A few things happened on day one of the certification though that promptly gave me the courage to attempt the Iron Maiden challenge. First of all, I watched one of the male… Continue reading

Ladies and gentlemen of the primalburgher.com community, I would like to thank you all for following this blog for the past year. Over the weekend, I traveled to Vienna Virginia to take on the Russian Kettlebell Challenge sponsored by Dragon Door. One year ago, I had decided to take all the scattered pieces of my life and mold them together into a stronger version of myself. This weekend, I was able to pass all the… Continue reading
